ESPERANCE

Arrived Esperance with exhaust problems again, The last place left the engine pipe to close to the cross beam and it cracked the extractors. Instalation of flex joints to stop it.

First flight over and around Esperance was beautiful as you would expect. Stunning beaches and water colour

Then on inspection of the helicopter I found the elastromeric bearings were starting to fail. After some searching I found Evert from Esperance who had a kit the same as mine that had never flown. Evert was kind enough to put my trailer at his home and give me a loan of his bearings to keep flying. Many thanks to Evert. So what did we do, we went for a fly

Video of Esperance

Parts came in for my night flying drone to turn it into a camera drone, Julia took control of the HD and we made a video of it

In the parts search I contacted Rob from Perth who had a brand new kit Rotorway in his shed. Rob kindly has given me his new elastromeric bearings to continue my trip. Thanks Rob from Hydralic Solutions and Sales , new ones for you are on the way. Ill catch up with you in Perth.

This allowed me to go back out to Cape Arid to fly the Pink Lake , Julia was stoked, she gets to see the lake. Here is the video and some pictures

This wasn't enough we wanted to see it up close , so a boat trip was done

Esperance and the Pink Lake done and off to Albany, but couldn't resist this pic.

Now thats a helicopter !!

Big Bird !!

Meet up with Ian Retallack from Rattles Ride For Cancer. Ian is travelling around Australia in a horse draw cart raising money for cancer. Good on you Ian. I decided to take Ian for a buzz around the sky to give him a break from doing 5klm/ hr.

He love it , watch the video and you'll see

Cocklebiddy Cave

Ian and Julia around our citronella candle camp fire

Nullarbor cliff next, bad weather played in a delay trying to get some footage. But the pics came good  in the end

Some awesome cliff flying . All great till we hit the road and whoops their goes another one

And then of course thats not enough this is the tailshaft uni that decided it wasn't going to play fair, 100 klm's out of Norseman. No parts at Norseman so this little uni had to do another 200klm's. So i packed it with rubber of the tyre that blew and on we drove to Kalgoolie. A nervous day on the road waiting for the snap. Made It !!
looks nasty hey
